White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus has confirmed that the Trump Administration is looking at changing the First Amendment to address libel laws.
That is extremely terrifying. They literally want to change the U.S. Constitution to make it easier for Trump to sue newspapers that make him look bad.
Thankfully, a constitutional amendment requires a two-thirds vote of Congress—and three-fourths of state legislatures. Trump many not grasp that concept, but we can stop this before it goes anywhere.
