The People’s March On Washington: The Impeachment March
January 27 @ 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
In order to end the confusion, we have built a new event page to make it easier for people to understand.
There is no march in Washington, D.C on January 20th 2018. Our march is on January 27th, for full clear information go to our website https://
We will not rest until all people of this nation feel safe, welcome, and free from oppression. We represent the people: a canvas of many colors, genders, religions, origins, and creeds but with the commonality that we are all a part of this country and have inalienable rights.
In 1991 half a million people marched in Moscow to demand the resignation of Mikhail Gorbachev. That moment in time is coming for Donald J. Trump.
Americans, it is up to us–We The People–to protect our democracy. Congress will not do it. The checks and balances instilled into our constitution are broken because of this president. So we beg you to RISE UP, find some friends to take a weekend road trip to our nation’s capital and show the president and every complicit member of congress that this is still our democracy run BY the people FOR the PEOPLE.
We will march for the equality of all people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, immigration status, and disability status.
We will march to reject the hate-mongering of the Trump Administration and its allies which seeks to divide and turn us against each other.
We will march for the more than a dozen women who have publicly shared their stories of sexual misconduct from the President, and in solidarity with all those who have been a part of the #metoo movement to end sexual harassment and assault.
We will march against record levels of wealth inequality in our nation—where the top 1% now control 38.6% of America’s wealth.
We will march against tax cuts for the wealthy that will exacerbate this inequality.
We will march to prevent the possibility of a nuclear war brought on by a spiteful, insecure president at the helm of the most powerful military the world has ever seen.
We will march to protect our immigrant family, friends and neighbors from being scapegoated for crime and unemployment, to stop ICE from tearing families apart, for a clean Dream Act, and to defend Temporary Protected Status.
We will march for affordable healthcare, quality schools, and decent jobs for all—regardless of how much money we were born into.
We will march to protect our environment from the criminally selfish impulses of industry to destroy our earth for short-term profit.
We will march to end mass incarceration and to end racial disparity in the justice system.
We will march because a government that is supposed to represent the people consistently puts the interests of business first, as illustrated by the FCC’s recent decision to repeal net neutrality.
We will march because we can not rely on free and fair elections in four years to rid ourselves Donald Trump—over half of Republicans said that they would be willing to postpone the 2020 election if Trump proposed it. (Washington Post)
We will march because we refuse to accept the new normal.
On January 27th we will take to the streets to demand the impeachment and removal of Donald Trump and to fight to protect the rights of all marginalized people, equal rights, social justice, our safety as citizens, and our democratic process.
